Malampuzha Dam:

Palakkad Fort:

2 km from Palakkad railway station At a distance of, Tipu Fort is one of the best preserved forts in Kerala built by Hyder Ali in 1766. Which is also called the fort of Palakkad. The fort was occupied and rebuilt by the British in 1790. The fort is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. Even today, the hard walls of the fort speak about the stories of Tipu Sultan. The fort is square in shape, with four corners and heavy walls in the middle and strong bastions.


Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary:

The Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, 91 km from Palakkad and 96 km from Coimbatore, is located in the Palakkad district of Kerala. It is being considered by UNESCO for selection as a World Heritage Site.


Silent Valley:

At a distance of 53 km from Palakkad, Silent Valley National Park is an evergreen rain forest situated in the Kundali Hills of the Western Ghats. The park is divided into 4 parts, Nilikkal, Sairandhari, Poochipara, and Palakkad and is open to tourists only Sairandhari.

Nelliyampathy:

Nelliyampathy, also 60 km from Palakkad, also spelled as Nelliyamathi, is an attractive hill town in Palakkad district of Kerala. The Nelliyampathy hills and western valleys form part of the Sahyadri Mountains. These hills are located in Tamil Nadu - Palakkad district in Kerala and Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu share the border of the state.

Mangalam Dam:

41 km from Palakkad At a distance of, Mangalam Dam is built on the Cherupuzha River, a tributary of the Mangalam River. It is a popular picnic site among Palakkad tourist destinations.
